Twenty-nine years of commissioned service in the US Army, US Army Reserve and Army National Guard. Commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Infantry. After a short period as a rifle platoon leader in a Pathfinder company, graduated from Army flight school and qualified in the AH-1 Cobra gunship. Four years of assignment to two Air Cavalry squadrons serving in positions of leadership and staff. Attended the Military Intelligence Officer Advanced Course and qualified in fixed-wing aircraft with subsequent assignments in Central America flying reconnaissance missions and Operation DESERT STORM flying more than 100 hours of combat surveillance missions. Assigned to the Army Staff in Washington, DC to serve as Director of Policy Plans and Programs for the US Army Aeronautical Services Agency. Retired from the Army June 2011. Commercial flying experience totaling more than 12,000 hours flying passengers and cargo as an Airline Transport Pilot. More than 200 flights circumnavigating the Earth.

James P. Jenkins is a distinguished military veteran, attorney, and dispute resolution specialist with over four decades of leadership excellence spanning military service, federal contracting, and international business operations. Following 21 years of exemplary service as a United States Army officer, where he commanded over 600 personnel across five locations and negotiated high-level Status of Forces Agreements with foreign governments, James has applied his strategic negotiation and conflict resolution expertise to the civilian sector with remarkable success.
James holds a Juris Doctor from John Marshall Law School, an LL.M. from the University of Dayton School of Law, an M.B.A. from Oklahoma City University and a Bachelor of Science from University of North Georgia. He is a graduate of the Army's Command and General Staff College.

Lieutenant Colonel United States Army Retired
Michael joined the army at 19 years old as a private E1. Several years later Michael attended The University of Arkansas ROTC program and received the Commission as a Second Lieutenant. Michael's main area of concentration was United States Armed Forces Command/ FORSCOM, Intelligence and Communications.
Michael served in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Bahrain, and in the United States at Fort Benning, Georgia, Ft. Campbell, Ky as well as other forts for a total of 32 years. As a vice president of our foundation, Michael brings tremendous years of experience from his command of troops, as well as the understanding of all the disabilities of our worthy veterans.

Richard J. Sestili was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is a graduate of Central Catholic H.S, attended Carnegie Mellon University, and graduated from The University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Communications and Business Management. He served in the United States Army Artillery from May 1965 until May 1967. He was also a medic during his time served and received several citations for exemplary service. He worked for the Veterans Administration in Pittsburgh as a benefits counselor.
Rich’s experience with The Veterans Administration and his subsequent 30 years in advertising and business development, has helped the Marietta, Georgia DAV Chapter 6, to grow and prosper. The chapter has received the designation as “Chapter of the Year” in the state of Georgia four times. He served as Adjutant of the Chapter from 2004-2020. Rich has been instrumental in raising over $100,000 veterans through grants and organizations.
